Who We Are

Meet the Conaway’s behind Conaway Utility - Ben, Emily & Kaylee. Our owner/operator, Ben, was born in raised in the Ohio Valley, the youngest of 3 boys. After graduating with a Degree in Fire Science, Ben relocated to South Carolina, to eventually become the Station Officer-in-Charge at Murrells Inlet - Garden City Fire Department. Wanting to be back home with family, Ben moved back to Ohio, and worked for a natural gas distribution company for 8 years. There, Ben gained invaluable experience and expertise in outdoor utility installation & heavy equipment operation. In 2019, Ben took a leap of faith - and started his own business. We have received great support from our friends & community, and we are forever grateful.

Ben’s wife, Emily, is in Human Resources at a manufacturing company in Mount Vernon, and together have a three year old daughter, Kaylee. In our spare time, Ben is an avid dirt bike racer/rider, and Kaylee is in all-star cheerleading.
